The Lying Game

How stupid do Democrats and the media think Americans are?  Do liberals ever get tired of the lying or ever bother with facts--are they even aware that they are suckers?  Clearly, Democrat politicians think their constituents are stupid, because they prove it every time they go to the polls and vote for the same party, and the same people-- time and time again--thinking they will somehow get a different result.   That’s just crazy!  But not all Americans are stupid.

Let’s not forget the media though; shame on the so-called media for not reporting the truth and continuing to be Obama’s puppet.

The outright LYING is unconscionable.

Today, Obama is out there making a big media splash telling people that he is personally ordering his administration to fast track the Keystone pipeline.  He announced he was directing federal agencies to expedite a 485-mile pipeline from Oklahoma to Texas’s Gulf Coast and he was calling on his administration to cut through the red tape and break through the bureaucratic hurdles to make the “controversial” Keystone pipeline a priority.  He actually said, “Anyone who says that we’re somehow suppressing the domestic oil production isn’t paying attention.”

Well, some of us actually ARE paying attention, and what he is saying is pure fiction.

First of all, the part of the pipeline he is talking about today is the southern portion—the controversial part is the northern portion which runs from Alberta, Canada through Texas to the Gulf of Mexico.  The Calgary-based TransCanada Corp announced on 27 February it planned on building the southern portion of the pipeline as a stand-alone project that did not need approval from the Obama administration.

Only the northern part of the Keystone pipeline needs his administration’s approval because that is the part that would cross the Canadian border.

Let me put this very simply, Obama taking credit for approving, and fast tracking, a pipeline that he had NOTHING to do with permitting.   He has also tried to claim credit for private land drilling in the U.S., something his administration does not control.
On 8 March 2012, Obama called oil a “fuel of the past”, and today he is out there lying and saying he is a big supporter of this fossil fuel—pun intended.

Actions speak louder than words.  According to the Energy Information Administration, total fuel production on federal lands has dropped 7% since 2009.  From 2010 to 2011, total oil production on federal lands in down 14% and gas production has dropped 11%.  Furthermore, let’s not forget the off-shore drilling moratorium that Obama put into place blocking new permits.

If he is the big oil supporter he is claiming to be today, then he has plenty of opportunity to prove it and he should stop trying to take credit for things he has nothing to do with.

“He who permits himself to tell a lie once, finds it much easier to do it a second and third time, till at length it becomes habitual; he tells lies without attending to it, and truths without the world's believing him. This falsehood of the tongue leads to that of the heart, and in time depraves all its good dispositions.”
