Wake up from the Matrix
Most of us know the popular film, the Matrix, which depicts a future where “reality” perceived by most humans is actually a simulated reality created by machines to pacify and subdue the human population, while human bodies are used as batteries for energy for machines. It makes for fascinating science fiction, but lately it seems “reality” might be starting to imitate art.
The so-called main stream media outlets are not sources of actual news or facts. More often than not, they are Democratic propaganda and entertainment laced with subtle, and not so subtle, pro-Democrat and liberal plugs. With the media’s constant bombardment of leftist ideology with synched up talking points in the news, talk shows, books, internet, music, late night comedy, and peppered throughout dramas and sitcoms, there is a noticeable dumbing down of Americans with many unable to tell fact from fiction—living in the Matrix.
The liberal Matrix is a world where, unfortunately, we are all surrounded by a media and pop culture that exists to validate leftist ideology. The brainwashing starts early. Even children’s television shows, such as PBS’s Sesame Street, are pushing the liberal agenda. After the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, Sesame Street aired a show conveying the message that conflicts should be resolved peacefully, suggesting the Bush Administration should compromise rather than go to war in Afghanistan. In 2009, the show went after Fox News with an episode that featured Oscar the Grouch as a reporter for the Grouch News Network (their version of CNN) and an audience member who referred to “Pox News” saying, “Now there is a trashy news show.”
A few months ago, AMC’s Mad Men made blatant jab at Romney, via his father, who was the Governor of Michigan from 1963 through 1969. In the 1960s-era series, there is a character who is a political aide to NY Governor Nelson Rockefeller. In the episode, the aide is on the phone and says, “…his honor’s not going to Michigan…Because Romney’s a clown, and I don’t want him standing next to him.”
In last week’s series premiere episode of White Collar, a USA series about a con man, forger and thief involved in a cat and mouse game with the FBI, the star’s sidekick Mozzie says, “Viva Healthcare!” and has assumed the alias Barry Soetoro. For those of you still caught in the Matrix, Barry Soetoro is the real life alias Obama used when he lived in Indonesia.
Ask people who, during the 2008 Presidential election campaign, said she could see Alaska from her house, and most will claim Governor Palin said it. The truth is, liberal actress Tina Fey said it during a skit on Saturday Night Live.
All of this constant propaganda, misdirection, and deception is meant to keep people in the Matrix and under the impression that leftist policies are successful and welcomed. Obama’s policies have not been successful, and for much of his time in office, he has governed against the will of the People. The irony is that his policies have had the most negative impact among some of his key supporters. Among blacks, the unemployment rate increased from 13.6% in May to 14.4% in June. Yet predictably, most blacks will overwhelmingly vote down racial lines for Obama in November 2012. In the 22 new taxes hidden in ObamaCare, more than half will affect middle class families the hardest.
Pop star Pink wrote her anti-Bush song, “Dear Mr. President” which includes the lyrics, "What do you feel when you see all the homeless on the street? Who do you pray for at night before you go to sleep? Are you proud?" While liberals often claim to be pushing legislation "for the children", the most liberal president in decades has been a disaster for America's children. The National Center on Family Homelessness reporting the homelessness of children rose 33% under Obama. The historically high unemployment and underemployment rates have pushed millions of families into foreclosure and eventually out of their homes.
There is hope though. Some of us were born and raised outside the Matrix. Some of us weren’t raised by machines—i.e. the television babysitter. Those in the Matrix never question the talking points provided in the news, in books, the biased results of a Google search, song lyrics, or from late night comedians. They never challenge the message. Instead they see the message as reinforcing what they’ve always been taught, told, and indoctrinated with. Some of us had parents that spent quality time with us who raised us with values--values we are now passing on to our own families.
Some of us awaken at some point and find our way out of the Matrix. Many awaken when they get that first job, see their first paycheck, and realize how much money is being taken out in taxes to support liberal programs and welfare. With already nearly 50% of Americans not paying taxes, the country is frighteningly close to having more people taking from the system rather than putting into it. It is at that moment many realize that liberals, leftists, and Democrats -- the machines inside the Matrix--are draining the battery of America—the workers.
Like the main character Neo in the Matrix, at some point we are all presented with the option of taking the red pill to wake up and face the truth, or the blue pill to continue living obliviously in the Matrix. When it is your turn to choose, decide to wake up and unplug from the liberal propaganda. Take the red pill.
“Unfortunately, no one can be told what the Matrix is. You have to see it for yourself.”

As usual, the liberals and Democrats are crying racism. This time they are saying that asking for proof of identification at the polls is somehow racist. Yet again, liberals fail to address the actual issue of voter fraud and how to combat it, and ultimately they play the race card.
Voting is not just our constitutional right, but it is a duty that most of us cherish because so many have died to gain and preserve this liberty for all Americans. As a disabled veteran myself, I feel that I didn’t just receive this gift as a birthright, but I actually earned my right to vote through service to my nation. An illegally cast vote is a crime and a threat to our entire way of life.
Here are a few things you need a photo ID for:
- cashing a check or money order,
- boarding a plane, bus or ship
- buying alcohol or cigarettes,
- getting a marriage license or driver’s license,
- picking up a prescription from a pharmacy,
- buying a home or car,
- renting an apartment or a car,
- getting a job,
- applying for welfare,
- applying for food stamps,
- applying for Medicare,
- applying for social security
- applying for unemployment,
- opening a bank account,
- registering for college,
- purchasing a firearm,
- admission to a hospital,
- securing a US Post Office box,
- registering for selective service when males turn 18, etc.
This list is obviously not all inclusive, but it does serve to show that it’s pretty difficult to function in our society today if one doesn’t have a photo ID.
If requiring a photo ID for the actions mentioned in the list above is legal, how is requiring a photo ID to vote at the polls racist or discriminatory?
On 10 July 2012, 18 year old Victoria Rose Rodriguez, a teenager from San Antonio, Texas told a federal court in Washington, DC that her parents are too busy to take her or her twin sister to get the new voter identification cards required by the law. Texas is currently defending a new law which would require a photo ID and those who don’t currently have one would have to apply for a new “election identification certificate.” The teen claimed, “"My dad works all day…and my mother is the sole caretaker for my grandmother."
Yet Ms. Rodriguez somehow found the means to travel all the way from San Antonio, Texas to Washington, DC.
Whoa! So we are to believe that Ms. Rodriguez had the time and resources to travel 1,600 miles, half way across the country, but has no possible way to travel a few miles across town to get a voter ID? Whatever.
Why aren’t minorities appalled or offended at Democrats and liberals portraying them as too ignorant, too incapable, or too incompetent to figure out how to get a photo ID?
When South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley offered to give voters free rides to obtain their photo ID after she passed a similar law, only 48 people out of supposedly 178,000 who officials believe don’t have a photo ID, took her up on her offer. When afforded a free ride at the date and time of their choosing—people chose not to obtain a photo ID. These people can’t claim they didn’t have a way to get to the DMV, can’t claim they couldn’t afford it, and can’t claim discrimination.
The Democrats are deflecting and trying to avoid any discussion about how voter fraud is disenfranchising American citizens. The Democrats don’t care about ending voter fraud---they want to exploit it. They want to cheat, they want people to be able to vote numerous times pretending to be different people, and they want illegal aliens to vote and vote often.
An illegal vote cancels out a legal vote. Every illegal vote silences a voice—your voice.
"Let each citizen remember at the moment he is offering his vote that he is not making a present or a compliment to please an individual--or at least that he ought not so to do; but that he is executing one of the most solemn trusts in human society for which he is accountable to God and his country. Today’s House vote to repeal ObamaCare is not a waste of time, or distraction from important matters such as the economy, as the Democrats are attempting to portray it. It is a brilliant political maneuver that will back Democrats into a corner and put them on record to show Americans which elected representatives support the biggest tax increase on American’s and who does not.
Let’s have a brief history lesson:
In 2009, after Senator Jay Rockefeller (D-WV) warned ObamaCare would be a “big middle class tax increase,” President Obama was interviewed by liberal ABC newsman George Stephanopoulos. After Stephanopoulos asserted ObamaCare was a tax, Obama responded, “No. That’s not true. George…for us to say that you’ve got to take a responsibility to get health insurance is absolutely not a tax increase.” Obama went on to tell Stephanopoulos not to just “make up that language and decide that that’s called a tax increase.” Stephanopoulos told the President he wasn’t making it up, and even quoted the Merriam Webster’s Dictionary definition of tax: “a charge, usually of money, imposed by authority on persons or property for public purposes.” Obama retorted, “The fact that you looked up Merriam’s Dictionary, the definition of tax increase, indicates to me that you’re stretching a little bit right now…My critics say everything is a tax increase.” Stephanopoulos asked the President one last time, “But you reject that it’s a tax increase?” Obama flatly replied, “I absolutely reject that notion.”
Democrats, and some RINOs (Republicans in Name Only), voted for ObamaCare in the dark of night without even reading the bill on Christmas Eve 2009 when American’s were distracted by religious observations and holiday festivities.
In June 2012, the US Supreme Court ruled in a 5-to-4 decision the individual mandate of controversial bill, the component that requires virtually all Americans to purchase health insurance or pay a “penalty,” was constitutional. The majority upheld the individual mandate by deciding it is a tax, not a regulatory penalty.
So now all Americans know what most of us knew all along—ObamaCare is a huge tax.
In fact, there are a total of 22 different taxes hidden in ObamaCare, more than half of which affect families earning less than $250,000 a year adjusted gross family income.
Here are a few of the implications ObamaCare will have on the United States:
- $1,200 – This is the increase in health care premiums for an average American family in the year following enactment of ObamaCare.
- 13% - This is the percent of premium increase in 2016 for individuals and families who buy coverage on their own compared to if the law hadn’t been passed at all.
- 1,019,810 – This is the number of Americans that are at risk of losing their plan, because the plan was denied a waiver from ObamaCare.
- $26.6 billion – This is the amount of money that 71 different Fortune 100 companies could save by eliminating employer-sponsored health plans and instead pay the $2,000 employer mandate in 2014 alone.
- 4-65 million – This is the number of people in the employer system estimated to lose insurance as a result of ObamaCare.
- 800,000 – The amount of workers the labor force will be reduced by as of 2021 as a result of ObamaCare.
- $1.8 trillion - This is the amount of money ObamaCare is expected to cost over the next 10 years—nearly double the original estimate.
- 9 in 10 - This is the number of senior citizens with retiree benefits who will lose their retiree prescription drug coverage through their employer under ObamaCare.
- 8 in 10 – This is the estimated number of Medicare beneficiaries enrolled in Part D that are paying higher premiums so 15% of beneficiaries can benefit from the change to the donut hole.
- 12,000 – This is the approximate number of pages of ObamaCare regulations issued by his administration. ((a ream of paper is 500 pages—12,000 pages equals 24 reams of paper, which weighs 124.8 pounds---who on Earth is going to read all of that!?))
Now that we KNOW ObamaCare is a TAX, and the Republicans just pushed for a new vote to repeal this bill now, we all can see who supports this monster tax increase and who does not.
Today, the Republican-led US House of Representatives, on a near party-line vote of 244 - 185, passed a bill to repeal ObamaCare. Now it will go to the Senate for a vote, where Harry Reid will probably table the bill in an effort to protect vulnerable Democrat Senators from going on record as supporting raising YOUR taxes right before an election.
If you don’t want your taxes raised, don’t want to lose your medical benefits you have today, don’t want higher medical premiums, and your congressperson and senators have a “D” after their name, then you know what to do in November.
